Raise awareness of the importance of human rights mechanisms and provide a space for communication, networking and networking
On Thursday, July 11, 2019, the Center for Human Rights Defenders marked the third training course of the Libyan Defenders Program with the participation of several Libyan cities.
On July 9, 2019, CHRDA organised the third training course of the “Libyan Defenders” program that includes a series of workshops held by CHRDA in cooperation with Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
The third workshop is to strengthen capacities and deepen the mechanisms of joint action to raise the level of awareness of the importance of human rights mechanisms and provide space for communication, work, networking and exchange of experiences between regions and countries.
Twelve “Libyan defenders” participated in human rights activities from different regions, including Sabha, Benghazi, Derna, Misrata, Tobruk, Tripoli, Hun, Zouara, Gharian and the Al Qalaa.
The Center for Human Rights Defenders Association (CHRDA) organises this workshop as part of the “Libra Defenders” project, an integrated program launched since the end of 2018 in partnership with the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation. This workshop aims to empower and raise the capacity of Libyan women defenders by providing technical support through seminars and training, focusing on Monitoring, documentation, human rights, digital protection, etc.

The course focused on monitoring and documentation mechanisms, while the first training course contained workshops on principles of human rights and international humanitarian law.
The program aims at empowering and raising the capacity of Libyan women defenders by providing technical and technical support through workshops and training focusing on monitoring, documentation, human rights, digital protection and others.
